About Vivienne
With over 5 years of teaching experience, I bring both professionalism and warmth to every lesson. I earned a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance (Contemporary Styles), where I refined my skills in performance and composition. My philosophy centres on understanding how music works. Then making it your own.
Students learn compositional techniques, harmonic structures, and melodic invention step by step. I teach arranging skills that help transform simple ideas into full guitar pieces. Counterpoint and voice leading are introduced in practical ways. We also record basic demos to capture your creative ideas.
I adapt to each student’s level and ambition, from Beginner to Advanced and Professional composers. Every lesson supports both technical growth and artistic identity. Together, we explore and create. Discover the joy of composing your own guitar music with me.

My teaching philosophy is built on practical application of music theory for guitar. Scales, modes, and chords are explored in context, not just memorised. Students see how ideas work in real songs.
Harmonic analysis, chord construction, and improvisation are core components of each lesson. I guide you to apply theory directly to your playing and original compositions. Exercises reinforce patterns across the fretboard.
Lessons are adapted for The Aspiring Rock Star or The Classical Purist. Technical skills and musical understanding grow hand in hand. Practical challenges keep sessions lively and engaging.
We build a foundation that allows improvisation, soloing, and composition to feel natural. Learning becomes confident and creative.
