About MARLENE
I have over 20 years of high school teaching experience. I have taught all levels: 1-AP. All of my AP students passed the AP with a 3 or better. I have also traveled with groups of students to Nicaragua and Ecuador on eco-tourist excursions. In addition, I have tutored college students who were about to study abroad in a Spanish-speaking country and wanted to practice conversation. Furthermore, I have spent much time in Spanish-speaking countries on my own personal travels. Such as: Spain, Mexico and Peru. I lived in Tarragona, Spain during the 2009-10 school year and worked on Master's in Teaching Spanish at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili.
