About Me
Hello! I am a certified IELTS instructor and professional English lecturer with over 30 years of academic teaching experience in university and college settings.

My approach to the IELTS exam is straightforward: the test is not about luck—it is about understanding the examiner's rubric and applying predictable, repeatable strategies. Whether you need to score a Band 7.0+ for university admission, professional licensing, or immigration, I help you eliminate guesswork, master test mechanics, and achieve your target band score with confidence.

Qualifications & Background
Master’s Degree (M.A.) in Applied Linguistics & TESOL.

Certified ESL Educator & IELTS Specialist with Cambridge CELTA certification.

30+ Years of Academic Experience teaching university-level academic reading, essay writing, and test-prep strategies.

Rubric & Assessment Expertise: Deep knowledge of official IELTS scoring criteria across Task Achievement, Coherence & Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range.

How I Help You Succeed (Module by Module)
📝 Writing (Task 1 & Task 2)
Proven Essay Templates: Master 4-paragraph essay frameworks for all Task 2 prompts (Agree/Disagree, Both Views, Advantages/Disadvantages, Cause/Solution).

High-Scoring Vocabulary & Grammar: Learn precise academic collocations, linking expressions, and complex sentence structures that signal Band 7.0–8.0+ to examiners.

Detailed Feedback: Receive line-by-line essay corrections between sessions to fix repeating errors quickly.

🗣️ Speaking (Parts 1, 2, and 3)
Part 2 Cue Cards: Use a simple structuring method to speak fluently for 2 minutes without running out of ideas.

Part 3 Discussion: Practice expanding abstract arguments and speaking naturally without long hesitations.

Pronunciation & Fluency: Build exam-day confidence with realistic, timed mock interviews.

📖 Reading & Listening
Targeted Scanning: Learn to locate answers rapidly without reading entire passages word-for-word.

Trap Identification: Spot distractors and master difficult question types like True/False/Not Given, Matching Headings, and fast-paced listening audio.

My Teaching Style
I offer a highly structured, supportive, and results-driven learning environment. Every lesson is tailored to your exact starting level and specific target score. You won't just learn what the correct answer is—you will understand why it works and how to apply the exact rule on test day.

About My IELTS Lessons

My IELTS preparation program is designed to turn the test from an overwhelming exam into a predictable, step-by-step system. Rather than relying on guesswork or rote memorization, we focus on understanding the examiner’s rubric, mastering task structures, and applying high-scoring techniques across all four test modules.

Whether you are taking IELTS Academic for university admission/professional registration or IELTS General Training for immigration, every session is structured to deliver clear, measurable progress toward your target band score (6.5, 7.0, 8.0+).

What We Cover in Each Module
️ Writing (Task 1 & Task 2)
Task 1 Masterclass: Learn clear formulas for describing graphs, charts, maps, and processes (Academic) or writing formal, semi-formal, and informal letters (General Training).

Task 2 Essay Mechanics: Master 4-paragraph essay structures for all question types (Agree/Disagree, Both Views, Advantages/Disadvantages, Cause/Solution).

Vocabulary & Grammar: Use precise lexical resource collocations and complex grammatical structures that examiners look for to award Band 7+ scores.

Detailed Feedback: Receive line-by-line corrections on your essays between sessions.

️ Speaking (Parts 1, 2, and 3)
Confidence & Fluency: Eliminate long hesitations, filler words, and self-correction habits.

Part 2 Cue Cards: Use a simple structuring method to speak fluently for the full 2 minutes without running out of ideas.

Part 3 Discussion: Practice abstract reasoning, expanding your arguments, and using advanced topic-linked vocabulary naturally.

Real Mock Practice: Simulated test conditions with immediate rubric-based scoring and pronunciation feedback.

Reading
Strategic Scanning & Skimming: Learn how to locate answers quickly without reading entire passages word-for-word.

Question-Type Strategies: Master specific traps in True/False/Not Given, Matching Headings, and Sentence Completion questions.

Time Management: Build test stamina to comfortably complete all 3 passages within 60 minutes.

Listening
Key Signals & Distractors: Identify how the audio tricks candidates and learn to spot correct answers in real-time.

Spelling & Formatting: Avoid losing marks on technical details, plural forms, and word-count restrictions.

️ My Teaching Methodology
Diagnostic Assessment: We begin by identifying your current band score baseline and pinpointing exact target areas.

Rubric-Driven Strategy: You will understand precisely what the official IELTS scoring criteria (Task Achievement, Coherence & Cohesion, Lexical Resource, Grammatical Range) require.

Practical Application: Every strategy is paired with real Cambridge IELTS practice materials and targeted homework.

Clear, Actionable Feedback: You will always leave every session knowing why an answer was incorrect and how to fix it next time.
