About Michael
I’m a Certified Pickleball Instructor and 5.0+ tournament player based in Sonoma County. I work with players of all levels—from complete beginners learning the game to experienced players looking to compete at a higher level.
My coaching style is patient, practical, and detail-oriented. I focus on identifying the few changes that will make the biggest difference in your game, then explain the why behind them so the improvement sticks.
Lessons are relaxed and enjoyable, but always purposeful. My goal is for you to leave every session playing better, understanding your game better, and knowing exactly what to work on next.

Every lesson is built around your game, your goals, and your current level—not a generic lesson plan.
We’ll usually start with a quick assessment so I can identify what will have the biggest impact. From there, we’ll use focused drills and game-like situations to turn those improvements into skills you can actually use during matches.
We can work on:
- Serving and returning
- Dinking and kitchen play
- Third shots, drops, and drives
- Resets and transition-zone play
- Volleys and hand speed
- Footwork and court positioning
- Shot selection and strategy
- Consistency and reducing unforced errors
- Tournament and competitive-game preparation
For newer players, I’ll help you build strong fundamentals from the beginning. For experienced players, we’ll diagnose the specific patterns keeping you from reaching the next level.
You won’t leave with ten things to fix at once. I prefer to focus on one or two high-impact improvements so you have clear, actionable takeaways you can immediately put into your game.
