About Juyoung

-A passionate Korean tutor with energetic, friendly, and patient character, lived in Frankfurt Oder, Le Mans, and Montréal
-Having much experience teaching Korean to foreigners since 2018
-Having a bachelor's degree in education
-Having a mater's degree from graduate school of education
-Having a certificate of counseling teacher(issued by the ministry of education)
‐Currently attending bachelor course of Korean as a foreign language in KHU, which will issue another certificate of Korean language teacher and another bachelor degree
-Based on knowledge of language structure and linguistics from majoring teaching Korean as a foreign language and from learning multiple languages (learned French, German, and Japanese)
-knowing which part could be difficult for you since I have taught German, French students
-Seeking to leverage active mind and broaden perspective to bring a synergy effect with my students

About the lesson

-Teaching on Google Meet
-No matter what level you are(complete beginners are very welcome) if you are passionate about Korean
-We will set your goal, methodology and material for you in the 1st meeting which depending on the purpose of learning (as hobby, for certificate and etc)
-Since I know which grammars or expressions are confusing for Korean learners, you will get enough chance to review them in other lessons as well until you absorb the sense of the language. Do not worry about forgetting what you learned!
-having 6 students at the moment, more students in the past.

Deadly! I've been studying with Juyoung for a while now and I really appreciate our lessons. She is very kind and patient and adapts her lessons really well to my learning style. She makes me feel very comfortable to ask questions or to express any difficulties I am having. I feel like my korean has improved quite a bit with her :)

Deadly! Juyoung is very competent in teaching. She, obviously, has a deep understanding of Korean, but also is very familiar with the inner workings of English and French, which helps a ton. Nothing like making comparison with your own language to understand the trickier prononciation and concepts. The books she uses are fun and easy to follow along, without lacking complexity. The lessons are well organized and always a delight to attend.

He is very passionate in terms of learning and also, he has a great sense of language catching the structure of Korean logically. Diligent and improving Korean rapidly considering he is very beginner.

She is always punctual, diligent and have a great sense of building Korean grammar sturcture. She has a sharp analysis of language and she is able to not only apply but also broaden the usages of what she learned. I am looking forward to continuing lessons with her.

Simply being born in Korea and having Korean as a native language, or even knowing it well, is completely different from analyzing one's native language academically, understanding the difficulties it presents to learners when it becomes a foreign language, quickly identifying those challenges, gaining insight, and effectively teaching it.

I discovered my passion and talent for teaching when I started educational volunteer work as a high school student, which led me to pursue a degree in education. During my university years, I taught various subjects, but I found particular interest in language instruction. I personally enjoy learning different languages, and I find it fascinating how acquiring a language allows one to fully experience the thought processes embedded in a culture.

Through my classes, students can learn Korean—often considered a difficult foreign language—more easily and enjoyably. Moreover, they can gain a deeper, more comprehensive understanding of Korean by exploring the differences in thought patterns embedded in the language from a cultural and linguistic perspective.
