About Kerry
Following my third level music studies and professional singing career, in 2017, I graduated from BAST Singing Teacher Training Academy in London (the only qualification certified by the global teacher elite network Vocology In Practice (VIP), which uses a multidisciplinary methodology based on the art and science of singing.)
Continuous professional development is hugely important to me in order to keep abreast of latest research and information. CPD also helps me provide the best voice training and vocal care possible to my students.
I have recently completed the following courses and training programmes:
Currently studying towards Vocal Habilitation Professional & Vocal Rehabilitation Specialist accreditation with Vocal Health Education UK.
'Designing and Customising Vocal Exercises for Singing Voice Rehabilitation' with Leda Scearce
Vocal Belting: A How to Guide with West End vocal coach Jamie Read.
Vocal Health First Aid Practitioner Course with Vocal Health Education UK.
The Evolving Voice; Teaching Young Voices Course with Dr Jenevora Williams which explored the development of young peoples from childhood, what they are capable of at each stage and the issues encountered during puberty.
'Voice Disorders: What the Patient & Professionals Need to Know' by Mark S. Courey, MD, Professor of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
ABRSM 'Becoming a Better Music Teacher' course which explored new teaching ideas and approaches towards ABRSM Singing examinations.
Diploma in the Alexander Technique (Distinction)
Certified Reiki master and teacher - I have discovered the combination of these holistic disciplines to be very useful to my students with regards to breathing, relaxation, posture and performance anxiety.

As well as performing at weekends for weddings and private events, I run a children's choir - The Troubletones ShowChoir. The first rehearsal had six students in attendance. Since then, it has grown from strength to strength and prior to lockdown, The Troubletones were ShowChoir Ireland award winners for two years running . They are a fantastic bunch of young people and make me very proud to know each and every one of them.
In 2017, The Rolling Tones (Adult) Rock Choir was born and is going from strength to strength and I am hugely proud to be their director. Over the past year, they have been featured many times in The Limerick Leader due to their efforts to keep public spirits raised with their 'virtual choir' videos during 'lockdown Ireland'.
I am fully Garda vetted and I have completed the Child Protection Course in Music Education 2.
