About Brian
I have 20 years of experience working with teens and adults, both in individual and classroom settings, and I would be happy to help you achieve your Spanish-speaking goals. Although the names of some courses vary, I have taught Spanish levels 1 through AP. I have a B.A. in Spanish from George Mason University and a Master's Degree in Education from The Ohio State University. I've also been fortunate enough to travel to several countries in the Spanish-speaking world and enjoy friendships with wonderful people from Peru, Bolivia and Puerto Rico. I begin with a goal analysis for each student, then I assess strengths and areas for improvement. Each lesson typically builds on the previous one and recycling of concepts, vocabulary and grammar points happens continually. Students are encouraged to ask questions, and they receive constant checkups through each lesson.
