About Colleen
I am certified to teach in four states: Tennessee, Indiana, Texas, and Hawaii. In all of the four states I am certified in special education for all grade levels. In addition, in Hawaii I became certified in Social Studies and Business/Career Tech Ed for all grade levels. I have 12 years of classroom teaching experience in both special education and general education classrooms. In addition, in my spare time, I have tutored and taught homebound students. I have tutored students of all grade levels, including undergraduate college students. I have tutored math, English, and college Algebra.

My lessons are flexible. We will start with a quick assessment of your strengths and areas of need. From there we will work together to develop an individualized plan. I believe in doing more than just "homework help", I believe in developing skills. Our lessons will focus on you, the student. I have 12 years of classroom experience along with 15 years of tutoring experience. My classroom experience spans all grade levels including elementary, middle/junior high, and high school. I have tutored people of all grade levels including undergraduate college students. In addition to being a certified special education teacher, I do hold certifications in social studies and business career/tech education.
