About Julie
I’m a graduate of Northwestern College (Orange City, Iowa) and completing my 6th year as a special education and dyslexia teacher in San Antonio Texas. There is no greater joy than to see a child who has struggled with matching letters to sounds and decoding, discover the tools to become a reader!

I implement elements of Reading by Design curriculum at an individual pace. I recommend meeting weekly with 2-4 sessions per week. Student gains and retention of material are increased with higher frequency of sessions. This curriculum is engaging and multi sensory to meet the needs of all learning styles.
