About Shayelyn
I have been a teacher for 3 years and love to help students! I have worked closely with SPED and Literacy specialists to develop the best approach for your student. I am passionate about academic and personal success for all students.
I was a collegiate athlete and have taken many lessons from playing sports but the biggest one is grit. I want to help all students establish their own grit in the world to help them succeed.

I dive into phonemic awareness and build on foundational skills to start.
Then we would dive into the rules and understanding of the English language to help break down spelling rules.
We would then use multiple practices of speaking, reading and writing to solidify the knowledge that we have learned.
At the end we would end with grade level text or decodable text to build growth.
