About Sherricka
Hello there, I'm Sherri :)
I am a highly-dependable Ontario Certified Teacher (K- Gr. 6) with a passion for developing learner confidence and competence in foundational reading skills. I I have a Master of Arts in Child Study & Education, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology & Sociology from the University of Toronto.
I love to travel! I have travelled to over 20 countries and I am still counting! I also spent one life-changing year teaching young English Language Learners in Thailand. I love to sing and engage in various forms of movement such as Yoga, Dancing and Fitness.

A typical lesson will:

- include lots of "student-talk time" (prioritizing student verbal and written output)
What makes me unique:
I have a background in Special Education and Teaching English Language Learners. I have over 2 years of experience teaching literacy and math online through my own private tutoring company. I have maintained the same, consistent client base for the last 1 year plus.
The lessons I provide target children from Kindergarten to Grade 4 who struggle with letter identification, letter-sound correspondence, phonemic awareness, sounding out difficult words, sight word knowledge, reading fluency and reading comprehension.
