About Erin
I have been teaching in Florida, US for 10 years as a certified teacher. I also have a Reading Endorsement and an ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) Endorsement - all through the State of Florida, Department of Education. I originally worked in health care, but finally took the plunge and became a teacher in 2016. I am a 5th generation, native Floridian which is quite rare these days. The government and politics put unnecessary strain on teachers here, but I still love teaching and helping people learn and achieve their goals.

I prioritize taking time to learn who my students are; I feel this is just as important as knowing how my students can perform academically. Building relationships, earning trust, understanding where people are coming from… These aspects are often more valuable than knowing a student just by their test scores. I’ve experienced that building relationships with my students of all ages has proven to help them make the biggest gains because when the teacher and the pupil are able to communicate openly without fear and with understanding, the greatest learning can take place.
