About Mbali

My name is Mbali. I am currently a student, pursuing my teaching degree at one of the most prestigious institutions in South Africa, The University of the Witwatersrand. I have had a ton of teaching experience doing my practicals in college. I am a simple girl who loves spending her time reading, researching and playing with her nieces and nephews. I also love learning about different cultures and would love to travel a lot one day. My dream is to be able to teach in the comfort of my own home and provide learners who do not know English the opportunity to travel and communicate well with others, so this will be a great start.

About the lesson

As a teacher, I will offer a variety of strategies to make students understand and also enjoy the English language. My classes will help improve listening skills, grammar and pronunciation. I work well with foundation and intermediate levels, so as expected, I am a teacher who is very patient and compassionate. As a teacher, I am looking for students who are eager to learn and know more. I will improve their language skills by starting from the basics and working my way from there. I love including exercises such as a quiz after learning a concept, just to see if learners are following. I love adding images and video files to illustrate and demonstrate certain points. This is also to keep the learners intrigued and make the classroom environment more fun. I give learners homework assignments to see if they understand. This also helps me decide if I should reteach or move on to the next topic. I am a teacher that is very cognizant of the fact that learners are different and that they would love to be taught differently. Therefore, it is my aim that I master every student's needs in my classroom, so that every learner reaches their maximum potential
