Super tutor

Francesco is one of our best Chess tutors. High-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Francesco

I have been playing chess since I was 4, I have played competitively in several tournaments in Italy and UK. Participant at the Mind Sports Olympiad since 2019. I currently coach in chess clubs for primary and secondary schools and I teach privately abstract strategy games (or 'Pure Strategy Games', that is games not involving any form of luck, such as Chess, Go, Hive, Abalone, Quoridor, etc) to several learners of any age.

About the lesson

I work together with the student to make them understand the ideas behind each move. I normally suggest books to read and exercises to do to let the student feel the improvements also when they work by themselves. I adapt my methods to students of any age, and in particular with young learners I try to make the learning process as fun as possible!

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience had by the students of Francesco.

Matt was very keen on working on his openings repertoire and he's learning very quickly considering he started to play only 3 months ago! Looking forward to work with him in the future

Deadly! Francesco is nice, friendly and passionate about his gig. He explains the basic rules of the game to me succinctly. He also provides me with extra information on how to play the game better. Highly recommended.

Francesco taught me to play chess! His teaching got me from a 600 rating to a 1300 rating on chess.com. He is a very calm, friendly teacher who makes learning a lot of fun. I would 100% recommend because Francesco has a lot of enthusiasm both for teaching and for chess!
