About Dilshad

My name is Dilshad Mohammed and I am a passionate chess coach with a rich background in the game. I began teaching chess during my university studies, and by that time, I had already won the state championship four times and represented my country in the Asian Championship. Since then, I have dedicated myself to training players at all levels—from beginners to advanced—helping many improve their chess skills, earn USCF and FIDE ratings, and achieve titles. Notably, several of my students have become USCF titled players, and one has even reached the rank of International Master. I provided in-person lessons in New York during 2016 and 2017 and have competed in over 45 chess tournaments at the Marshall Chess Club. Additionally, I have participated multiple times in the NJ Parsippany amateur event. If you’re looking to improve your skills, I would be more than happy to help. My teaching approach focuses on building a solid opening repertoire, as well as preparing for the middlegame and endgame—no shortcuts involved. About the lesson

I have been working as a Chess tutor for the past ten years and taught more than 300 students of all age group of which 40% were rated players and 60% earned their rating during the coaching period. I have experience in working for organisations like schools, colleges and clubs.

Chess is a great way to improve your mental capabilities while having fun at the same time. My students great results are my confidence.
