About Véronique
I hold a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mathematical Logic, and I have 10 years of experience teaching chess to students with different levels of experience. My interest in chess began with a fascination for strategy and structured thinking, which slowly grew into a passion for teaching others. Over the years, I have guided many learners in understanding the game deeply and improving their skills through clear and patient instruction.
My teaching style focuses on making complex ideas simple and easy to understand. I believe that students learn best when they are guided step by step and given time to think independently. I use clear explanations, practical examples, and regular practice sessions to help students build confidence and improve steadily. I also encourage students to ask questions and explore different strategies so they can develop their own thinking style.
Outside of teaching, I continue studying advanced chess strategies, solving puzzles, and reviewing games to improve my knowledge. This allows me to bring fresh ideas into my lessons and keep them interesting. Teaching chess is very meaningful to me because I enjoy helping students develop strong thinking skills and confidence that can support them in many areas of life.

Chess becomes easier to understand when students learn how each move connects to a larger plan instead of focusing only on single actions. My lessons focus on developing clear thinking through piece coordination, simple tactics, and understanding basic strategies. I explain each idea in a straightforward way so students can follow comfortably and apply it during practice games. Every lesson includes puzzles, guided play, and discussion of positions that help students improve step by step. I maintain a calm and structured learning space where students feel free to explore and learn from mistakes.
Beginners start with learning the rules, piece movements, and simple checkmate patterns that build confidence. Intermediate learners focus on tactics, openings, and improving their ability to plan ahead. Advanced students work on deeper strategies, positional understanding, and analyzing full games carefully. I adjust each lesson based on the student’s level and provide consistent feedback to support steady growth.
Learning chess helps students build concentration, patience, and logical thinking. As they improve, they begin to make better decisions and feel more confident in solving problems. Many learners also notice improved focus in other areas of their life. My goal is to make chess learning clear, engaging, and rewarding for every student.
