About LAN
This course is for beginners who want to learn Chinese calligraphy, Chinese as well as Chinese culture. Having learned Chinese calligraphy during my childhood, I have been practicing this art for a long time. My level is certified (9/10) by the National Calligraphy Association of China. With very solid practical and theoretical foundations, I can teach you several styles of calligraphy such as regular style (Kaishu), clerical style (Lishu) and semi-cursive style (Xingshu).

Using a progressive method, this course will guide you in your first step towards Chinese culture in a friendly atmosphere. During a well-structured course, I will present you the originality of the Chinese characters and their beauty, to finally lead you to calligraphic creativity. You will learn the use and maintenance of calligraphic tools (the four treasures), the rules of writing, the basic features, etc. With a lot of patience and good willingness, I would like to share my knowledge and know-how with all those who are interested in Chinese culture and Chinese art.
