About Jun
Hi, I'm Jun – a passionate clarinetist and graduate of the Class of 2023. I studied on music scholarships at both The McDonald College (Years 8–10) and Newington College (Years 11–12), where I was the lead clarinetist in both the Symphonic Winds and Symphony Orchestras. I also performed in Big Band and Choir throughout senior school.
Achievements:
AMusA Diploma in Clarinet (achieved in Year 10)
Ranked 1st in NSW for both HSC Music 2 and Music Extension (Band 6 in both)
Nominated for Encore
Competed at state and national solo competitions
Performed and recorded with The Wiggles
I’ve played across a wide range of styles — Classical, Romantic, 20th/21st Century, Modern, and Jazz — and have experience performing in orchestras, wind ensembles, jazz bands, and even rock bands!

Each lesson typically lasts one hour, where we’ll start by warming up with scales to build a strong technical foundation. Then, we’ll work on pieces chosen to match your level and interests, focusing on mastering challenging sections and improving your overall playing.
Between lessons, I’ll provide clear practice goals based on what we cover, so you always know exactly what to work on.
For complete beginners, I use well-structured beginner method books and guide you through the material step-by-step, ensuring a solid understanding of fundamentals.
My Qualifications:
Associate in Music Diploma (AMusA) in Clarinet (completed Year 10)
Ranked 1st in NSW for both HSC Music 2 and Music Extension (Band 6)
Nominated for Encore
I teach students of all ages and skill levels, from absolute beginners to advanced players.
