Deadly! First and foremost, she is very patient with me. I am old. Secondly she combines different french topics in a way that one understands. She gives homework which she does review. She is also always punctual for classes. I am still retaining her as my french tutor.

Deadly! Kanika is an amazing teacher -it has been a couple of classes and have learnt great vocabulary, idiomatic expressions in French and most importantly, she has a natural skill to teach. In addition, she has provided me with tons of useful material for my speaking and writing skills as I am preparing for TEF coming in just three weeks. Deadly! Kanika is an amazing teacher. She is friendly, flexible and is fast to respond to my messages. Her lessons are well structured and customized to the needs of my 14-year-old twin boys. She can explain complex grammar rules clearly and from a various prospectives. She always ensures they understood the subject well before moving to the next topic. She is always positive and encourages my boys to study hard. They do homework every day and look forward to the next lesson, which tells me a lot because French was their least favorite subject at school. Kanika manages to keep it creative and fun so the time really passes fast for my sons. I highly recommend Kanika.

When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?
I developed an interest in the French language during my own preparation for the DELF and TEF exams. What started as a goal for career growth quickly turned into a deep appreciation for the language and Francophone culture. As I progressed, especially after obtaining my DELF B2 and scoring C1 in the TEF, I realized how much I enjoyed the learning process-and I wanted to help others on the same journey.
What makes you passionate about your subject?
French has given me not just a language, but a new way of seeing the world. I'm passionate about it because I know the doors it can open-whether for education, work, or travel. Helping students succeed in challenging exams like the TEF and DELF is incredibly fulfilling, especially when they reach their goals like NCLC 7 or higher. Their success stories keep me motivated and passionate about teaching every single day.
What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?
Tutoring allows me to make a real impact-especially with personalized guidance. I love identifying exactly what a student needs to focus on, and creating tailored strategies that help them improve quickly and effectively. What makes me a "Superprof" is my ability to teach exam-focused French in a way that is practical, encouraging, and results-driven. Many of my students have passed their TEF and DELF exams, and I take pride in being part of their success.
Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.
Yes, I was inspired by one of my own French tutors during my preparation phase. She was patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in my success. Her teaching made me feel confident and capable-even when I doubted myself. That experience taught me the value of empathetic, supportive instruction. I strive to be that kind of teacher for my own students now.
What are your keys to success?
My keys to success are discipline, empathy, and goal-oriented learning. I believe in consistent effort-both as a student and a teacher. I also make it a priority to understand each learner's challenges and tailor my approach accordingly. With clear goals-like achieving NCLC 7 or clearing DELF B1/B2-I help students focus their energy and believe in their ability to succeed.
