About Joel
I started classical guitar lessons when I was 9 years old. I used to view it as a means to complete grades and make my parents happy, thus I did not enjoy it and improved slowly. However, when I began to play independently and do my own thing, I developed a lot of passion for the guitar. I want to pass my passion on and bring others to enjoy playing the guitar in the same way.

I have completed some grades, but much of what I have learnt has been through experience. I am willing to help in whatever way suits my student - giving them advice on pieces they are playing, learning a piece alongside them offering help as we go along, learning a piece and then teaching to them, etc. I am flexible in how I can teach as I want to create an environment conducive to the student's development. Lessons will go for an hour and can cater to anyone at any level, though the quality of my teaching is geared to more novice players.
