About Joaquin
Holding an MMus in Violin from the Eastman School of Music, I admit that my teaching style demands patience. I train students in the Italian tradition with a focus on INTONATION and sight reading. My 13 years of experience ensure that left hand agility and vibrato are built slowly.
Technical skills like spiccato and staccato bowing are refined through diligent work on scales and arpeggios. They need to develop a secure technical foundation, musical confidence, and lasting independence.

6.0 is the foundational score I use to track your growth during our diagnostic assessment before setting the practice plan. My remote setup provides clear audio that rivals in-person instruction.
I prioritize a rigorous process that values correct habits over speed. Since earning my MMus degree 13 years ago, I have maintained a standard of clarity for every student. Is your current routine designed to support your long-term development?
