About Amelie
I'm Amelie - I'm 21 and I've just graduated from UCL studying Latin and Greek. I've been passionate about Ancient languages since I started school, and have been very determined to continue on my journey as a Classicist ever since. I’m hoping to inspire and encourage students in their Latin/Greek learning, as both of these languages and cultures enable us to deepen our understanding of the world and humanity. Each lesson - typically one hour each week - would be personally tailored to the student’s level and goals, whether the student is just starting out or needs a helping hand with exam preparation at a higher level. I have lots of experience in Classics as an academic subject, and a deep understanding of Latin and Greek literature, grammar and history - as a recent UCL graduate, I have been studying Latin for the last 10 years of my life, and Ancient Greek simultaneously for 8 of those years. In lessons, the goal would be to enhance the student’s critical thinking skills, strengthen the student’s vocabulary, and improve their understanding of English and other Romance languages. If the student wishes, we could also revise and consolidate any topics or chapters from their school syllabus. Flexible scheduling is available and the number of hours can be customised to the student’s needs.
