About Tegan
I am a clinical psychologist who is passionate about educating psychology students. I remember how stressful completing assignments and exams can be and would like to make the process as enjoyable as possible for students. I also enjoy relating academic concepts to the real world of psychology to help make the material more meaningful for students. I draw from my experience working as a clinical psychologist in the prison system and private practice.
I was a HD student at university and completed my honours with first class at Deakin University. Following my studies, I went on to tutor and grade assessments for psychology units at Navitas College of Public Safety. I consistently received positive feedback from fellow educators and students about my tutoring style.
I have a particular interest in reviewing assignments for university level students, however I also enjoy helping VCE students understand concepts better. I love working with students who love to learn and who are motivated to learn more about psychology.

I have a supportive, warm and patient approach to tutoring. My first lesson is generally about understanding the particular assessment you are requiring help with. Next, I like to gain a sense of your understanding of the assessment and your current difficulties or specific questions. This can be done via a video chat or via email.
If the assessment is a written assignment, I generally recommend that you send me through a copy of your work so far so that I can review it and make suggested changes. If needed, we can discuss the feedback in more detail via video chat or phone call.
My approach is to meet you wherever you are at in the process and to help you feel more confident in submitting your work.
