About Ella
I have completed my MPsych Clinical Psychology programme at the University of Plymouth and have achieved a 1st Class honours. As part of my degree, I undertook a placement year, volunteering in Morning Star Centre in Hanoi, Vietnam; a centre for children with special educational needs between the ages of two and eighteen years old. I developed a fascination in understanding the human psyche, exploring the complexities and conditions affecting individuals from all walks of life, which led me to my degree choice. Following my studies, I plan to complete a doctorate in clinical psychology, before pursuing a career as a child clinical psychologist. In my spare time, I practise yoga and enjoy being outdoors, whether that's walking on the beach or running through the park. During my A Level studies, I was a Buddy Mentor to a year 7 student. This involved scheduling regular meetings in which we would discuss any difficulties they were facing, both academically and socially, as well as advising on homework tasks and revision techniques. Whilst at university, I have been involved in the PALS scheme which focused on supporting younger years during their psychology degree.

I endeavour to create a calming and positive environment in which my tutees are able to develop a deeper understanding of psychology, tailored to each individual. This in turn should provide them with the ability and tools to both discover new and question existing theories.
