About Neil

Hi there! I’m an IT professional with a strong technical background and a passion for making complex tech concepts easy to understand.

I hold a Degree in Computer Systems Support and am certified as a Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Day-to-day, I work directly with modern IT infrastructure, cloud architecture, and systems management. I decided to start tutoring because I enjoy helping people cut through the jargon and actually build practical, real-world tech skills.

What I can help you with:

Cloud & Azure: Cloud fundamentals, architecture design, migration strategies, and preparing for Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-305).

IT & Cyber Security: Identity & access management (Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD), zero-trust principles, network security, threat mitigation, and cloud compliance best practices.

Core IT & Networking: Computer systems support, operating systems, hardware troubleshooting, and networking principles.

Academic & Career Support: University coursework assistance, interview prep, and practical guidance for breaking into or advancing in the IT industry.

I take a hands-on, real-world approach to tech learning, focusing on practical problem-solving rather than just reciting textbook theory. My lessons are tailored to whatever you're trying to achieve—whether that's getting to grips with cloud concepts, mastering system architecture, or building confidence for a career move. We'll usually meet for 60 minutes, which gives us plenty of time to unpack a core concept, work through practical examples together, and answer any questions.

While I’m relatively new to formal tutoring, I bring strong industry credentials to the table and have a vast range of knowledge across the entire IT landscape. I have been in the IT industry for 15+ years, hold a degree in Computer Systems Support and I'm a certified Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert. I have previous accreditations in networking and IT foundations and also hold a TOGAF foundation accreditation.

That means everything we cover is grounded in current tools, enterprise standards, and real-world IT workflows. My lessons are open to anyone at any stage—from complete beginners looking for a solid foundation to university students and IT professionals aiming to upskill, pass certifications, or work through specific technical challenges.
