I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Boise State University, where I mentored first-year coders and assisted with K–12 STEM programs. With five years of online teaching, I’ve developed a gentle, structured method that makes programming welcoming even for brand-new learners.

My approach to teaching programming begins with the mindset, not the syntax. Before writing code, students learn to think like a computer: step-by-step, clearly, without assumptions. Once they understand that, we easily move into Python’s friendly logic, SQL’s structured questioning, JavaScript’s interactivity, Java’s disciplined reasoning, or AI’s beginner foundations.
Students test code, debug calmly, and learn to read their own mistakes with curiosity instead of fear. I build their confidence through small wins and consistent reinforcement. By the time they reach college-level coding, they already understand how to plan, build, and correct programs on their own.
