About Jorhan

My name is Jorhan Chopin and I am a Business Administration major at the University of South Carolina Upstate and NCAA Division I Student-Athlete, originally from France where I was born and grew up before moving to the US three years ago at 18. I am now thriving in both academics and athletics in the U.S.

About the lesson

As a French tutor, I tailor each lesson to suit the individual goals, level, and learning style of my students. Whether you're a complete beginner, preparing for a French exam, or looking to improve your conversational fluency, I adapt my approach to meet your needs. My methods focus on building a strong foundation in grammar and vocabulary, while prioritizing real-life communication through listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Each session typically begins with a short warm-up or revision activity, followed by a focused lesson on a particular theme (e.g., grammar point, vocabulary set, or functional topic like ordering food). I incorporate interactive activities, authentic materials (songs, articles, dialogues), and personalized exercises to reinforce learning. Lessons end with a short recap and optional homework to support long-term retention. What makes me stand out as a tutor is my patience, cultural knowledge, and ability to create a relaxed, encouraging environment. I bring energy and adaptability to each session, and I truly enjoy seeing students grow in confidence.
