About Melody
I am a student at Randolph-Macon and am passionate about people and language. I have been tutoring early/mid level Spanish for a couple years now and really enjoy helping students get to their "ah-ha!" moments of language learning. I have spent time in latin America and have a love for not just the language, but the culture as well. Other jobs I have worked include catering, babysitting/nannying, and working as a youth intern at a church. I also love music, dance, and any change to try something new and exciting.

I tutor students taking lower and mid-level Spanish classes (SPAN 1-4) generally ages 11-16. I aim to find key language components that make the language fun and engaging for the student. This includes talkin about subjects they are interested in, finding unique/fun phrases for them to really claim their Spanish as their own, and practicing with a variety of activities. These things are in addition to practicing and working through material they have covered in their classes and homework they would like assistance and motivation on.
