About Aoife
I am currently studying Irish and Spanish Teaching in college, as my goal is to become a secondary school teacher. I enjoy helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
As an aspiring teacher, I am patient, approachable, and passionate about making learning enjoyable. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. Hi! I'm Aoife, a 19-year-old college student studying Irish with a passion for helping students build confidence in the language. I achieved a H1 in Higher Level Leaving Certificate Irish, and I specialize in preparing students for the Leaving Certificate while also offering lessons for learners of all ages and levels.
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and tailored to each student's individual needs. I believe everyone learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to suit each learner's pace and goals. I focus on building a strong understanding of grammar and vocabulary while developing confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. For Leaving Certificate students, I also provide exam-focused preparation, including oral practice, essay writing, comprehension techniques, poetry and prose revision, and effective exam strategies.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although I can offer shorter or longer sessions depending on your needs. Each lesson is structured, engaging, and designed to help students make steady progress while enjoying the learning process.
As a recent Leaving Certificate student who achieved a H1 in Higher Level Irish and is now studying Irish at college, I understand exactly what examiners are looking for and the challenges students face. My recent experience allows me to provide practical tips, up-to-date resources, and clear explanations that make learning Irish more approachable.
I welcome students of all levels and ages, from primary school through to Junior Cycle, Leaving Certificate (Higher and Ordinary Level), college students looking for extra support, and adult learners who want to improve their Irish. Whether you're aiming for top exam results or simply want to become more confident using the language, I'd be delighted to help you achieve your goals.
