About Olivia
I am a college student looking to tutor Spanish to students of any age from elementary school to high school. I have 12 years of Spanish classes and other Spanish language experience under my belt. In high school, I was a student Spanish tutor for both middle school and high school students through my school's National Honor Society. Also in high school, I tutored a couple of students from other local high schools in Spanish, who saw increased grades on the assessments I helped prepare them for.

My teaching style is flexible based on the needs and learning preferences of each student. I believe learning Spanish in an interactive way is much more effective and enjoyable for the student than learning solely through textbook work. When working on vocabulary, I provide little tricks to remember meanings of words and fun games to help lock them into memory. When working on grammar, I provide detailed notes, diagrams, and study guides for conjugations and agreement, and I also teach little songs and jingles to help remember different grammar concepts. When working on comprehension, I teach a method of breaking down the text piece by piece to allow for a much easier and less daunting reading comprehension experience. Lastly, to work on speaking and eventual fluency, I teach some tips for speaking under pressure and also give my students plenty of opportunity for speaking practice, some more than others depending on their level.

She is an great teacher, and she excels at what she teaches. She has a vast knowledge of her material, and she is kind and dedicated. She even showed me a video on how to memorize the preterite tense in Spanish.
