About Jaime
Through my life I have always been drawn to cultures different than mine, which led me to learn languages such as English, French and Italian. Through this lens and from an outer perspective ( given that I am based in Australia) I have had the experience to bridge different cultures (i.e Australia / Colombia) through language and gastronomy.
Teaching Spanish has helped me in the past to learn not only about the cultural background of the student but also about my own.
I became a professional chef after living in Italy and discovering my passion for food. Now , with over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, I have lived and travelled though three different continents and have worked and established relationships with people from over 15 countries. It is this background that I bring to my teaching in order to provide you with a unique and stimulative way to learn Basic - Intermediate conversational Spanish.

My approach to teaching comes from my own experience in learning different languages and teaching Spanish to Italian and English speakers. Through Active & Audiovisual learning, differentiated instruction and experiential learning (i.e cooking lesson) I aim to teach you conversational Spanish with a latin American cultural insight that will assist you in your next holiday or long stay visit to Latin America.
Lesson length : 1.5 h
My lessons are for anyone with an interest in learning basic - intermediate Spanish and a keen interest in Latin American Culture and gastronomic jargo. No previous Spanish knowledge required.
