About Amena
I am an international student at uOttawa, I speak both French, English and Arabic fluently as they are my native languages. I have taught English to a small class of children back home in Morocco. I am a part time event planner and a part time laboratory assistant. I also worked as a communication agent. I went to Oxford for Summer School and I majored in English. And I study in both French and English at uOttawa.

My teaching method is mostly a hybrid style. I like to adopt an integrated teaching style that incorporates my personality, preferences and interests; I want my students to use what they learn to express themselves. This way my students are also more comfortable and more encouraged to talk about what they don't understand. I also encourage self-learning in the classroom through increased peer to teacher learning; asking the students questions and let them give the answer a first try. Overall, I am very flexible and I pick the teaching style based on what works for my students and what they feel most comfortable with. (The student must feel in control in order to gain confidence)
