My experience includes almost 10 years in the classroom plus seeing private clients for tutoring, as well as prior to arriving in education 20 years in the advertising industry. One of the most important mechanics of writing is the “brainstorming” phase which many students are never taught and then automatically have a knee jerk reaction into finding writing a daunting and intimidating task.
