About Maria

I am a Comparative Literature graduate, a cultural journalist, editor and trained teacher (qualified to teach up to university level). I am currently getting an MLitt in Postcolonial and World Literatures at the University of St Andrews.
Besides my professional training and academic practice, I have also guided several younger students as they were preparing for their final high school exams.

About the lesson

I am used to teaching individual, informal classes, but can also handle large groups (my training has involved teaching up to 30 students at once). I rely on conversation and step-by-step deduction, avoiding memorisation and allowing opinions to be expressed freely. I also encourage writing as much as possible and find applied feedback extremely important.
