About Cecily

With 15 years of experience as a piano tutor, I teach high school students, college students, and adult learners. I have successfully taught around 300 students, helping them grow musically and personally.

My teaching philosophy is based on understanding, motivation, and structured learning. I believe students learn best when lessons are well planned and encouraging. I take time to understand each student’s strengths and challenges before creating lesson plans.

I focus on developing strong technical skills such as coordination, rhythm accuracy, finger strength, and music reading. Along with technique, I encourage creativity and musical expression. I use familiar tunes and practical exercises to make learning enjoyable and relatable.

One of my proud achievements is helping students stay consistent and disciplined in their practice. Many learners who once struggled have shown great improvement and confidence through regular guidance.

My goal is to create a positive and friendly learning environment where students feel supported. I strive to help students not only play piano well but also enjoy music deeply.

About the lesson

My piano teaching approach is practical, engaging, and student-focused. I emphasize clear communication so students feel supported at every step of learning. Lessons are adapted to suit different learning styles, helping students progress at a comfortable pace.

I use real-life examples such as songs students enjoy, live music situations, and case studies of famous pianists to make lessons meaningful. This approach helps students connect theory with real performance. I encourage hands-on practice and regular feedback to improve technique and confidence.

In addition to piano skills, I teach supporting subjects like music theory, harmony, sight reading, rhythm training, ear training, and basic improvisation. Students also learn how to practice efficiently and improve coordination. My goal is to help students enjoy piano while developing strong musical understanding.
