Afra – Experienced and Creative ICT & Computer Science Tutor Teaching Approach & Methodology: I believe in making learning engaging, practical, and student-centered. My teaching approach focuses on simplifying complex ICT and Computer Science concepts through real-world examples, hands-on practice, and interactive activities. I use visual aids, step-by-step explanations, and regular formative assessments to ensure students understand and retain key concepts. For younger learners or beginners, I introduce topics with games and storytelling to build interest. For older students and exam preparation, I provide structured lessons with past paper practice, coding tasks, and digital projects. Lesson Format & Duration: My typical lessons run for 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the student’s level and focus. Lessons are tailored to the learner’s goals—whether it’s school support, exam readiness (IGCSE, British Curriculum), or skill development in coding and ICT applications. Qualifications & Experience: • Over 5 years of teaching experience in ICT and Computer Science • Specialized in the British Curriculum and IGCSE • Hands-on experience teaching Scratch, Python, HTML, databases, and networks • Former ICT teacher at Al Amana Private School • Passionate about integrating STEM, robotics, and AI into the learning journey Lessons For: • Ages 7 to 16 (Primary to Secondary) • Beginners in computing and digital skills • Students preparing for IGCSE/KS3 exams • Young learners interested in coding and tech creativity
