About Toby
Throughout my time as a musician, composer, and sound designer, I've found the pursuit of honest and effective communication paramount to success. I always aim for a professional level of competency - whether in lessons or while scoring a film - with transparent, compassionate communication. As my main goal is always to assist artists in their creativity, I always aim to foster productive, professional, and meaningful relationships with the artists themselves.

I always strive to foster competency with my students through my knowledge of performance and theory, but my main goal is to enrich students' sense of artistic self. I've been playing and composing music in a variety of styles for over a decade, and always try to cater lessons around a student's individual tastes or musical motivations. I teach any age and non-professional level, and will apply this flexible approach to all my lessons.
