About Leona
My name is Leona and I am a trained primary school teacher who currently works as a Swedish as a second language teacher in year F-6. In my work, I support students who need help with reading and reading comprehension, to develop their writing and to work with Swedish grammar. For me, language is our sharpest tool to use in different situations if we know how to use it. I have experience of working with students who need extra practice to "crack the reading code" and get started with writing, but also of helping students to process different types of texts to raise their grade in the subject. For me, it is important that we discuss together what difficulties you experience that you have so that we know what to focus on when we work together. I can guide you in terms of different ways of working, where you get to choose what you think sounds most interesting - it should be fun to learn! It is also important that you feel that your progression is visible so that you can see a development. In order for you to be able to see your development, the goal also needs to be clear. That is why we work together towards one or more goals - namely your / your personal goals within the subject!
