About Taylor
I earned a B.Sc in Computer Science followed by an M.Sc in Software Systems Engineering, which allowed me to deeply understand both theoretical foundations and real-world programming applications. Over 9 years of teaching, I have guided students through the learning curve of coding, helping them move from uncertainty to structured confidence. This experience has shown me how important clarity and encouragement are in technical subjects. My teaching approach emphasises understanding why code works, not just how to write it. I focus on breaking down complex logic into simple steps, using examples, diagrams, and analogies to reinforce learning. I encourage students to ask questions freely and experiment without fear of mistakes, as this is essential for growth in programming. Beyond teaching, I continue developing projects and studying new technologies to stay current in the field. These experiences enrich my lessons with practical insight. Teaching programming is rewarding because I see students develop independence, confidence, and problem-solving skills that extend far beyond code.
