About Mathew
Hi, I am Mathew. I am a Postgraduate student currently studying Computer Science at Cardiff University. I would describe myself as being friendly, empathetic and patient. I enjoy learning new things whether it is about people, cultures, places or skills as I am a firm believer that the more you learn the more you can understand other people's perspectives and resonate with their experiences. I also believe that teaching is also a way to learn and a way to gain insight into different ways of thinking and problem solving. I enjoy helping people, as it gives me a genuine feeling of satisfaction seeing the person I helped has progress which is why I have turned to teaching.

Programming is one of the most sought after skills in today's age as it provides the necessary toolset to be able to build the technology behind smart devices, video games, websites and mobile applications. I understand that learning to code can be a daunting task for many people, but I believe that my friendly and practical way of teaching could help make the process of programming a more comfortable and enjoyable experience.
I intend to teach students from the 13-16 age range, however I am also happy to teach people of any age that are new to programming. Lessons could generally be expected to last anywhere between 45 minutes to 2 hours.
