About Jack
I have a strong passion for computer science and mathematics, and take great joy in teaching these subjects. I have prior tutoring experience with high school students, and coached many of my peers when I participated in competitive programming at my school.
I am very friendly, and appreciate a good sense of humor!

In a typical lesson, the student and I will write code together. I will make sure that the student understands the purpose of each line and becomes familiar with the coding process so that they can eventually write complex programs without any assistance. I will also use diagrams to visualize what is going on inside the computer, to provide a deeper understanding of the program's structure.
My lessons are perfect for (1) those who have never programmed before, (2) those who are familiar with another language like Python, JavaScript, etc. but want to learn C++, C, Rust, or Java, (3) those who already know how to code in one of those languages, but want to learn more advanced language features and study advanced topics like algorithms, data structures, or computing theory.
