About Giacomo

I am a cellist with solid practical experience in both solo and chamber music performance , as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the repertoire.
I began playing the cello at the age of seven and was accepted at the Padua Conservatory (Italy) at fourteen, where I began a very intensive musical education with a particular focus on technique, tone production, and musicality. In the following years, I won numerous first prizes in competitions in Italy and Europe and performed in various concerts. Furthermore, I have extensive experience in chamber music and have appeared on several occasions as a soloist with orchestras, performing classical works such as Tchaikovsky's Rococo Variations, Haydn's Cello Concertos in C major and D major, as well as contemporary repertoire such as G. Sollima's Violoncelles, vibrez!
I am currently in the third year of studies at the Mozarteum University Salzburg with M° Giovanni Gnocchi. In addition to my concert performances, I have a great passion for teaching, as I value sharing the enthusiasm and the love for music and what we do.
In my teaching, I emphasize both technical and musical aspects, as well as a more comprehensive and conscious understanding of the work and music in general. I also have experience working with younger students and children, and I gave several masterclasses during a tour in China.

About the lesson

I teach students of all levels: children with initial musical experiences, advanced cellists, or simply music enthusiasts who want to learn the instrument. In my lessons, it is particularly important to me to understand each student's personal goals in order to guide them effectively along the best possible path. Lessons are flexible and can last between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the student's needs. I place special emphasis on technical skills, tone production, and interpretive aspects. Lessons are conducted in English or in Italian.
