About Alina
I am a concert pianist and experienced music educator with over 20 years of teaching experience. I hold BM and MM degrees from The Juilliard School and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance from CUNY. My background includes university teaching, school teaching, private instruction, chamber music coaching, and extensive performance experience.
I work with children, teens, and adults at all levels, from complete beginners to advanced students. Lessons are professional, supportive, and individualized to each student’s goals and learning style. I offer both online and in-person instruction and strive to create a positive learning environment where students feel encouraged, motivated, and confident in their progress.

I strive to make piano lessons both enjoyable and meaningful while helping each student build confidence and real musical skills. Every student learns differently, so I tailor lessons to individual goals, personality, age, and experience level.
Lessons combine technique, note reading, rhythm, musical expression, and repertoire in a supportive and encouraging environment. For children, I use engaging activities and creative approaches that keep learning fun and motivating. For teens and adults, lessons can focus on classical piano, favorite pieces, music theory, performance preparation, or simply learning to play for personal enjoyment and relaxation.
I have over 20 years of teaching experience and hold BM and MM degrees from The Juilliard School, as well as a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance from CUNY. Along with professional performance experience, I have taught students of different ages and ability levels, from complete beginners to advanced pianists.
I offer both online and in-person lessons for children, teens, and adults. Whether you are starting piano for the first time, preparing for auditions, or returning to music after many years, lessons are designed to help you progress at a comfortable and rewarding pace.
