About Mengze
I am a professional pianist and piano teacher based in Dublin, with a Master’s degree in Piano Performance from the Royal Irish Academy of Music, where I studied under Professor Lance Coburn. I have over six years of teaching experience, working with students of different ages and levels in both Ireland and China.
Alongside my teaching, I maintain an active performance career as a solo and collaborative pianist, with experience in concerts, competitions, and chamber music projects. This performance background allows me to bring practical musical insight and real-world experience into my lessons.
I am passionate about helping students grow not only technically, but also musically and creatively. I believe that every student learns differently, and I take pride in creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students can build confidence, enjoy music, and achieve their personal goals.

I offer structured and engaging piano lessons tailored to each student’s goals, age, and level. My teaching focuses on developing solid technique, musical expression, and confidence, while also integrating music theory, sight-reading, and ear training. Lessons are flexible in length, typically 30, 45, or 60 minutes, depending on the student’s needs.
As a concert pianist trained at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, with several years of teaching experience in both Ireland and China, I bring a balance of performance expertise and effective pedagogy. I have extensive experience preparing students for graded examinations, including RIAM and ABRSM, as well as competitions and performances.
My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and adults, from complete beginners to advanced students. I aim to create a supportive, motivating, and enjoyable learning environment, helping each student progress at their own pace while building long-term musical confidence and independence.
