About Lucy
I am a 21-year-old current Law LLB undergrad at Durham University, who learnt to play the piano before I could walk! My mum is a music teacher and I always heard and played music in the house, so I have a real passion for teaching the joy of music to others. I believe that learning the piano helps with other disciplines in life and believe in building confidence through learning.
I have years of tutoring experience, having tutored children and peers with music lessons, musical composition, and even maths, english, 11+ exams and helping with Law Degree personal statements.

• Teaching technique and methodology based on music theory - understanding of chords, harmonies, scales and arpeggios, before looking further at the context behind pieces to aid musical interpretation. Enjoy teaching to a performance standard and memorisation techniques
• Typically 1 hour-long lessons
• Experience tutoring peers and children in performing and composing
• Preference for teaching ages 5-18
