About Ben
-Artist name ( Ben Restrepo ) I have always had a love and passion towards music and anything creative. I first got into DJing when one Christmas in London at 12 years old I stumbled across somebody demonstrating on some DJ decks, I got stuck on and ended up getting some for Christmas. I really took a step forward with it during lockdown when I was recording live streams in my room, then I went to Nottingham Trent uni where I managed to network and meet many people within the industry and secured myself a club residency only 2 weeks in! Since then I have loved every second and moved onto having 5 more residencies in Nottingham and had the opportunity to play in almost every venue in Nottingham. I have also played for Red Bull social events at uni and for their ski event at Tamworth Snowdome.

It is said that 80% of DJs that start out quit after 3 months, mainly because of the lack of knowledge and intimidation of seeing DJ decks and not knowing what everything does - it can be scary! Although there are numerous videos on YouTube these are not personal to you and what you set out to achieve with DJing. I will provide one-on-one lessons - online or in person and any genre of music that you want or all of them - I specialise in House Music and Disco! Depending on ability and experience I will start from the beginning and at your own pace teach you how to become a confident manual mixer and hopefully get you in the position to play in live venues - I can also give advice on how to get and secure gigs once I believe that you are competent enough!
