She's the real deal - I have worked with "Profe Cris" for 4 years as students of mine from the University of Minnesota have studied Portuguese with her for 3 weeks at the start of their semester in the country. Some have continued on with her on-line. She has also been available to develop cultural classes for students. She's awesome - knows the grammar and the language teaching, but beyond that - creates the sort of emotional connection with students that makes them WANT to learn. We know that relationship is the most important thing when learning anything, and it is Cristina's passion and interest in many areas of life that allow her to bring novelty and energy to her lessons. Cristina was one of my profesoras de Português when I studied for one month at Brazil-Link in Salvador de Bahia. Cristina was a very positive teacher who made the student feel at ease in her presence. She used a variety of methodologies in her teaching in order to help her students understand the concept. Cristina incorporated culture and current events into her teaching which made the students relevant to her students.

I have visited Brazil several times and decided that I needed to learn Portuguese. I was using Duolingo and Babbel with little success. An American friend who lives in Salvador recommended Brazillink. When I visited the school, I met Cristina, Grace and Anna. My classes were at school and online when I returned home. Cristina was the absolute best. Very patient, explained the history of Salvador and very flexible with the scheduling of classes. She even helped me find an apartment for my next visit to Salvador. She is very friendly and an excellent teacher. I highly recommend Cristina and Brazillink.
