About Anu

As an ESL tutor, I aim to inspire confidence and foster academic growth in my students. With my background as a pharmacy assistant and secretary, I bring a strong sense of commitment and honesty to my teaching approach. Proficient in various software and experienced in diverse activities like sports and community service, I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment. Students can trust in my professionalism and dedication to their success.

About the lesson

My lessons are catered to my students. My first goal is to understand my students' goals, preferences, and level of understanding. Starting from there, I plan to work with my students to develop a plan that works for them and doesn't bore them. Methodologies I have noticed that tend to be the most engaging for students are active recall from their last session, conversational learning, and always paraphrasing to break down more complex words. What sets me apart as a tutor is the degree that I'm currently seeking. I'm constantly learning new things whether I want to or not as a Biology Student with a Psychology Minor which gives me more leeway in regard to diverse conversational learning.
