About Daniel

I’ve spent over 25 years living and breathing music—from classical piano training to working as a producer and music tech executive. After years in the fast-paced side of the industry, becoming a father changed my perspective. I wanted a peaceful, creative lifestyle to raise my family, which is exactly what brought us to Orange.

I want to teach because there is nothing better than watching someone finally click with an instrument or a piece of software and realize they can actually make the music they hear in their head. Music shouldn't be a stressful chore or full of rigid drills; it’s supposed to be an outlet. My goal is just to share what I know, keep it fun, and give you or your child the confidence to create.

Traditional piano lessons can easily feel rigid and uninspiring. Forcing a student to spend months mastering songs they don't care about just to pass an exam often leads to burnout.

At my studio, I bridge the gap between world-class technique and modern creativity. We use an accelerated, practical roadmap to quickly master the essentials—reading music, rhythm, and proper hand posture. But we don't stop there. We immediately apply those skills to the music you actually care about, supplementing your lessons with modern chord shapes, playing by ear, and spending a few minutes at the end of the session exploring digital music creation.

ABOUT ME
I have been playing piano for over 20 years and trained under a Juilliard graduate and concert pianist (completing AMEB Grade 8). I hold a Bachelor of Music from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, and I am a professional music producer working across all styles—from classical and jazz to pop, rock, and electronic.

ALL AGES & SKILL LEVELS WELCOME (Ages 6 to Adults)

PRIMARY SCHOOL KIDS: We build a strong foundational routine using an accelerated roadmap, kept highly engaging through popular songs, hands-on chord learning, and creative digital music tools at the end of the lesson.

HIGH SCHOOLERS & TEENS: Keeping them engaged when most kids quit. Alongside core reading skills, we focus on modern chord charts, playing by ear, video game soundtracks, pop hits, and songwriting.

ADULTS & CREATIVES: From absolute beginners who want to learn a new skill properly, to electronic music producers wanting to unlock "Producer Theory" to improve their keyboard workflow and DAW skills.

LEARN YOUR WAY: IN-PERSON OR REMOTE
IN-PERSON: From my dedicated home studio in Orange, NSW.
REMOTE: High-definition webcam and screen-sharing from your home setup anywhere in Australia.

THE CURRICULUM (A Balanced Approach)

Fast-track the essentials of reading music and rhythm without the old-school boredom.
Learn the chord patterns and shapes used in 90% of pop, rock, and film music so you can sit down and play any song you hear.
If you choose the formal classical route, you will be trained to the highest competitive standard using highly efficient, stress-free techniques (like breaking down classical pieces into "loops" and practicing scales against modern beats).
THE DIFFERENCE: No rigid 10-week institutional term contracts. I work with busy families, shift workers, and active adults who need real-life flexibility.

THE DISCOVERY BLOCK (5-Pack) - $235 upfront (Save $15)
Great for beginners testing the waters or families wanting a short trial to see if their child enjoys the keys. Locks in a regular weekly time slot, with a flexible 6-week window to use the sessions so you don't lose out if life gets busy.

THE DEVELOPMENT BLOCK (10-pack) - $450 upfront (Save $50)
Our best value option for steady, consistent progress. Ideal for parents wanting an ongoing structured outlet for their kids. Locks in your dedicated weekly slot with a generous 12-week window to use the sessions—giving you regular routine without the strict school-term contracts.
