About Dinu

I am a passionate violin tutor with 6 years of teaching and professional music experience, dedicated to helping students grow as confident, skilled, and expressive musicians. I teach school and college students at all levels, from beginners learning foundational techniques to advanced learners preparing for recitals, exams, and competitions.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my career has been helping students progress from struggling with posture, technique, or stage confidence to performers capable of playing with emotion, expression, and technical skill.

My teaching emphasises strong technical foundations, including posture, finger placement, bowing technique, rhythm, tone, and intonation, while also fostering creativity, musical expression, and interpretation. I integrate music theory, sight-reading, listening exercises, and performance practice to provide students with a complete understanding of music.

I adapt lessons to each student’s pace, goals, and learning style, creating a supportive, patient, and inspiring environment. Teaching violin allows me to instil confidence, discipline, and a lifelong passion for music.

About the lesson

I teach violin with a methodology emphasising motivation, communication, creativity, and integrity, aiming to cultivate musicians who are confident, expressive, and technically skilled. Lessons are personalised to each student’s abilities, goals, and interests, combining structured practice, creative exploration, and performance preparation.

Motivation is central. I guide students to set goals, track progress, and celebrate achievements, fostering self-confidence, perseverance, and engagement. Communication ensures lessons are collaborative and supportive, allowing students to express questions, challenges, and creative ideas freely.

Creativity is integrated through improvisation, composition, and interpretation exercises, helping students develop a personal artistic voice and emotional connection to music. Integrity emphasises disciplined, responsible practice and respect for learning, forming habits that promote consistent growth and long-term excellence.

Alongside violin, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, and basic piano, ensuring students have a well-rounded understanding of music. This methodology nurtures technical skill, artistic expression, confidence, and a lifelong passion for music.
